Without giving any spoilers, can someone tell me about this. Cause I like Hina so much, last episode was a treat to watch. Will we get more of them together in future episodes?!

Why would you?

The way they both are, it is basically hopeless now.

The story ruined any hope the audience had of them getting together and even made fun of them for thinking that.

I honestly had high hopes for this anime, but only the sports scenes have been enjoyable.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Anything more? Nope.

This anime is a jack of all trades, master of none. Therefore I think you can expect Taiki x Hina moments for sure. but we all know which ship will sail.🥸

Yes I have no hope for them to be together, tbh I don't care, I'll be happy to get more of their moments together.

As Hina is gonna lose surely, more chemistry between her and Taiki will hurt you more in the end.

Wasn't it obvious from the start that she'll lose. Chinatsu is clearly the main heroine. I agree the show isn't delivering as the hype in recent episodes. It has become a generic rom-com with annoying love triangle shenanigans.

As much as it hurts, I think Ao no Hako actually does the love triangle plot really well compared to most stories. At least we get time to see and understand why Hina would start to feel that way for him, as opposed to a half-baked character thrown in as a petty excuse to add drama.

As a manga reader, I know how things end up and the heartbreak that ensues, but it all feels justified because of how well written the character relationships are. You can’t help who you fall in love with, and it’s so commendable to see Hina give it her all to fight for Taiki’s love; you can’t help but root for her, too.

I really hope we get more seasons adapted, because this story is beautiful, and the characters are written so realistically with their own goals and aspirations outside of a relationship. I hope you all stick with it and see that Hina’s love wasn’t just some cheap, dramatic curveball that was convenient for the writer, but actually added more depth to the story and our main characters.

I'm actually more interested in the sports aspect which unfortunately doesn't get focused much. And I'm planning to stick to the end as I've watched almost half of it.

@NegativeRei

The sports aspect does get more focus as the story progresses, since the beginning prioritizes exploring character dynamics and relationships first. I cannot wait to see how they animate certain future badminton matches, because I definitely wasn't expecting to enjoy seeing that particular sport in action as much as I did after reading the manga. I hope it does pick up for you though.

Oh, that's assuring. I hope for a good experience.

I don’t see any “love” or “love triangle”, this show has only been ruining their relationships, and the only person I see as “losing” is the male MC.

He lost the matches he wanted to win, which made him lose his confidence, and take his eyes off his goals, including asking Chinatsu out.

Chinatsu & Hina were both backing off for the sake of the other, which means he lost both of them at that point, but only Hina has changed from that.

He lost the basketball MC Chinatsu crush, because she doesn’t want a relationship right now and is backing off, she even said something like “lets forget it happened and I am not going to do anything like that again”.

I really don’t get why people called this “a romance anime, with sports”, there has been sports, that’s the only good part of the show, but there is no romance.

Doubt that, Hina exists just to be rejected, ofc she does have own story and all that but making her have a crush on Taiki and give them more screentime together is only for one reason...to make the rejection even worse

I do like Chinatsu, she is kind and sweet, her personality is good
But i personally like Hina more, she is a good friend and a proper little gremlin, her teasing is adorable and she's got the right amount of sass
I just feel bad for her cus she is literally there to be the rejected childhood friend to add some depression...
That scene with her in the rain, surrounded by fog while the rain is getting louder and louder was done way too good, it made me cry
There was no need for a love triangle, could have just kept it a wholesome romance
Hina could have been the supportive friend
Or have a crush on Kyo
Nooo, have to sacrifice a good character for some unnecessary drama
I hate tropes sometimes
I have seen this multiple times and it is never a positive troupe

Not that I dislike Chinatsu, but it would be a nice twist if Taiki really ends up with Hina later :)
