"William Moreau Bostwick Sr. lived in Jacksonville Florida. He was born in Pittstown New York in 1831. He married in Jacksonville FL 1868, Eliza S Jones. In the Civil War he served as Surgeon in the Confederate Army. Had two children Sally Roberta born 1870 and William Moreau born 1872. He was the youngest of 10 children and when he left Nee York state to travel south, he was accompanied by his brother, Israel Sheppard Bostwick who became a river pilot."
