Kasumi was bullied at an early age, and so she took the chance when she was given the opportunity to be a wizard's apprentice. Unlike most people in Tian Xia, Kasumi was intrigued by an item in a glass case that her sensei claimed was very dangerous. He called it a pistol. She called it beautiful. She finished her apprenticeship by making a working replica and proving that magic can work with these pistols. Firearms were not exactly welcome in Tian Xia, so Kasumi joined a caravan heading west to Avistan, by the Crown of the World arctic zone. She used her magic and gunfire to help them survive the dangerous Path of Aganhei and arrive in the Inner Sea region.

Kasumi was built with 20 Points and she has the alternate racial traits of Dragon Empire Native (from Dragon Empires Gazetteer), Keen Kitsune (from Blood of the Beast) and Skilled (from Blood of the Beast).
