The image is a photograph of a locket containing a painting of Elizabeth Rae Elbert, wife of Samuel Elbert, Revolutionary War hero and 3rd governor of the State of Georgia. The locket was passed down through the family to direct descendant, Richard Elbert Whitehead. The photo was taken by Richard.
