There’s a fair amount of dialogue as well, but Rimuru tends to rely on displays of force to solve his problems most of the time

Are you guys watching the same thing I am, action takes the back seat a lot, world building is priority in this anime.

Dialogue but it’s not boring at all. I wouldn’t say this is an action anime. Still has some good fights though.

It's definitely more dialogue based as it starts off with him trying to build diplomatic relations, there's definitely action there too, but diplomacy needs a lot of dialogues.

However the manga and the recent series seem to heading towards more action based part of the story now, since I can feel the ideas of the fights coming....

This has a ton of dialogue, in my opinion way more than it should because it is mostly pointless blabber

Definitely more Dialogue based, but the world building and the characters are what make it incredible! Season two though is just a little more action based then the first in my opinion though.

Definitely more dialogued based. Great world building, pacing, and the fight scenes are really well done.

It has both, but he's no diplomat. There are many contests and fights to prove he's worthy or good or a friend or to show off.
