There have been a few reports about craigslists on the news and within the site too about shady people/raids. I'd be very careful.
Try MySpace. If you can filter out the 12-year-olds trying to hook up with adults, you can find someone. I've heard people say that it's actually a pretty good site to meet girls. I only go on MySpace about once every 4 months, so I can't verify that claim.
12 year olds trying to hook up with adults? I've been on MS for 2 years and I dont get offers from 12, 21 or 42 year olds. Unless you count the spam.. but they're all 18 year olds.
