1972 Shootdown Date
editThe cited newspaper article gives the date as 30 January, but the book "Gunslingers in Action" has a detailed account of the incident and lists it as 29 January. Gunslingers came out in 1974, so is relatively contemporary. It is, however a Squadron/Signal publication (although I don't know that newspaper accounts are automatically more reliable). Both are based on interviews with the subject (Mills). I may dig around and see if I can find any more information. Intothatdarkness 15:42, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
