Youth Hostels with Communal Showers

Hello everyone!

I have been a fan of this thread for a long time now and got some great tips from the places you guys suggest on here.
So i hope you guy have some advice for some places i want to go to this summer.

My plan is to visit some cities in Germany and France. They are:
Koblenz, Wiesbaden, Mainz, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, Strasbourg, Metz and some others in the regio.

So i hope you guys have some nice recommendations for hostels with male dorms, open showers or some nice public showers in general. Some other recommendations for the cities are welcome as well ;)

Stayed at CodePod the Court. They have a large number of rooms but either mixed or female only. Cant understand why they cant have one room out of the many just for males. I spoke to one guy and he said he was in a room with 2 women and really uncomfortable. And in my room just me and a woman. So uncomfortable for both of us.
Showers are in the men's washroom and separate cabins that are quite big to change in so no chance of seeing a guy naked outside the cabin. The only slightly exciting thing was to be showering the same time as a tall guy and your faces are just a few inches away from each other and you glance at each other time to time. There were a lot of young hot guys there. But not one guy on grindr the entire 4 days i was there!

Agreed - if they can dedicate one room for female only why can one room not be dedicated to male only.

Once, I was with 5 women in 6 mixed dorm in Hawaii. Imagine my face and their face when I opened the door...
I talked to front desk clerk right away to change my room. Who would be comfortable with that? Even I was a straight man I wouldn't be comfortable. It's called HELL!

Went there to sunbathe once, didn’t see anyone hot. Can’t remember but it could have been a weekday and hence a smaller audience. Otherwise I might not have reached the right spots.

When I was there, there were plenty of naked guys and lots of crusing

Try reading the recent reviews of the hostels you are thinking of going to visit.
I did read a few reviews on the Generator London saying it is full of Deliveroo drivers. Most people who are staying long term here now.
